Hard to choose manufacturers?

Let me tell you a real story of my experience: I was working as the purchaser in a trading company in 2012, at that time, I was negotiating with one small factory that we needed to customize a silicone product after meeting their boss and everything negotiates smoothly. Following days I kept this project communicating with their boss, but they seems have a lot of issues to do, just promised me will do until samples sent us after one month. What’s worse was that sample’s quality didn’t match what we negotiated before. So, gave up them and chose a middle scale factory to cooperate: precious suggests in customized files sent us before confirmed, samples received just using 7 days and sent us their newest developed products to us to saw if we can test their products in my local markets. Face such professional team and efficient works done, finally we placed this orders to them and picked up some them developed silicone products to test our market. It turns out that we made the right choice, cause all goods are sold well in our markets. Since then, it has strengthened our confidence and determination to choose middle/big suppliers.
